If you know Jennette McCurdy well, you know she’s obsessed with Andrew Garfield. AP recently interviewed with Jennette to talk about her celebrity crush, the ending of iCarly, and her pilot episode which is set to film in a few weeks.
I can tell you I’m taping the pilot in a few weeks and Dan Schneider, the executive producer and creator of iCarly, Victorious, and a number of hit Nickelodeon shows I guess you can say is the one creating and producing my show so I couldn’t be under a better person’s wings. I’m really happy about that decision.
The last day of shooting was really sad. There was a lot of crying and there were a lot of hugs going around. None of us wanted to say goodbye really.
Andrew Garfield! I’m going to marry him.. in my dreams maybe. Sorry Emma Stone. Emma Stone was on iCarly! If she sees this, she’s going to kill me, oh my goodness, no! I love him though, I love his face. I love his hair! Andrew Garfield, I love you.
Q: Did you see Spiderman?
Jennette: Is that a question? Of course I saw Spiderman! Oh my goodness, the Amazing Spiderman indeed! Aptly named, aptly named. I’ll have you know I loved Andrew Garfield, I’ve been on this train for a long time. I saw this British film he did called Boy A where he won the BAFTA for best actor. I was so taken aback by how incredible his performance was and let’s be honest how attractive he was that I was like: “I’m going to follow this dude’s career” and I saw Lions for Lambs that he did and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus . He did a mini series for Red Riding Hood. I mean I’m a big time fan.
Q: You loved Andrew Garfield before he was Andrew Garfield?
Jennette: I loved him when people would be saying, “who?” and I’d be saying, “you’re going to know who in a couple of years, honey” and now those same girls I’m being like “back off!”
