New York Times published a new article about iCarly teaming up with Birds eye to help promote healthier eating habits. Starting next Monday, July 9th 2012, Nickelodeon will be unveiling online commercials featuring Jennette McCurdy for a contest called “iCarly iCook with Birds Eye”.
The contest will be encouraging viewers to “create your own wacky veggie dish”. Viewers will be submiting their recipes in hope to be featured on a future iCarly episode. One of the recipes will include the “veggie sundae” which is composed of a scroop of carrots, cauliflower and broccoli in a banana split dish, each scoop topped with a cherry (as shown below).
The campaign was created in hopes that their vegetables will become part of kids daily diet and become popular as iCarly’s famous spaghetti tacos.
