Jennette McCurdy performs at the Coronado Center

Posted on April 9, 2011

On Saturday, April 9th, 2011, Jennette McCurdy performed her live concert at 2pm singing 3 to 4 songs live on the lower level near Macy’s. After her performance, Jennette sign CDs and photos to those who donated to St. Jude. Jennette has made a personal goal to raise $100,000, but she has most likely doubled that. Jennette’s Generation Love tour has generated a lot of money for St. Jude so far and when interviewed by KOAT 7 news, she talked about how much of a close relation she has with St Jude.

“My friend who’s close to 5 has gone in and out of St. Jude battling a recurring brain tumor, and to see how highly her family speaks of St. Jude, and to see how she doesn’t mind going to the hospital, …that’s really special,”

Jennette McCurdy’s family has also been touched by cancer.
“On a more personal level, my mother is a cancer survivor. She was in remission for 15 years and then it came back last year,” she said. “I think I do understand, to some extent, what cancer takes out of an entire family”
